Raised and schooled in Germany, I studied Hotel and Restaurant Management, spent one year in London/England, worked in the hospitality and investment banking industries (Bankgesellschaft Berlin and Zurich Insurance) before moving to Chicago in 1999.  I gained further corporate experience in the financial sector at a hedge fund company and later at EurexUS, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse (the German Stock Exchange), as the Office Manager and Assistant to the CEO before becoming a full-time professional English - German translator.

I hold a diploma from the University of Toronto (Certificate in Professional Translation English/German) and have been specially trained by the government as a German Language Proficiency Tester.

I am also a member of the American Translators Association, with over ten years of translation experience dealing with published books, technical documents and marketing texts. My professional background, education, and vast hands-on experience have proven to be valuable assets, enabling me to provide exceptional service at an affordable price to my clients.
